FLASH: OT- cookie problem

hey everyone,


this is way off topic but I have a problem with a cookie.....


when a person comes to my website, they get a pop up window. I want them to 

be able to click a link in the pop up window and have a cookie prevent the 

window from popping up the next time they visit my site....


the trick is that the link is in the pop up window and not the main 

window....how do i make a link in the pop up window and have it tell the 

main window...."hey, don't pop this thing up again"...
