dont get so offended... the cheaper than USA labour here in New Zealand is
used for the donkey work for a lot of what Americans see on TV... Donkey
work is not a derogitory term... And the reason most animation companies
cant use Indian labour is that animation for the most part cannot be done
well for English Speaking audiences by non English (as a first language)...
Thats why New Zealand and Australia have been reletivly popular in the past
to churn out the bulk of work for some episodes of many shows without so
much as a mention in the credits... they dont even put in the fact that it
was produced in the country of origin... not to mention the small studio or
any of the people that worked on it....

So before you think anything was a put down find the facts first... New
Zealand may have a better standrd of living, but we get treated in the same
way as India... Or even the way the US based people in this group feel like
when we talk about the economic reality of shipping yet more jobs offshore.
Everyone can get offended at many things I amd everyone else says... I could
get offended that a US company blocks my access to see whirl girl or one of
many other things that could be seen as insulting. I laugh at jokes about NZ
being deserted exept for the sheep. In fact I have found the people on this
list (most of which are American) very understanding and tollerant of many
things that are inflamitory like the political hot potato of immagrants
taking their jobs and forcing their pay rate down.

I personaly hope I don't run into too many Indians who hold strong views
about how I communicate my views accross. Coming from a place like New
Zealand I am sick of it wasting time and of course money having to be
politiclay correct to a group of people that is soposed to be working with
you and not complaining about the little ways you say things while getting
the job done. There are other workforces that can be tapped into if I am
ever in need of grunt work or donkey work.
