Subject: FLASH: Text file admin perl script

Folks

A colleague of mine has developed a little perl app for me which allows you
to administer variables in a text file (add them, delete them etc.) it also
counts the number of field variables and plonks an array variable at the
end. eg.

fields1=this is the first headline
&fields2=This is the third headline
&fields3=Anything can go here
&fields4=http://www.anythingyouwantreally.com
&array=4

as you can see the 2nd headline says "This is the third headline" this is
because the form was used to delete the second headline which slides
everything else down in the order by one. I'm using this internally to let
people administer a dynamic ticker that I'm building that duplicates an mc
determined by the array no, then reads the individual text from the files ,
it's nearly finished and looking good.

The fact of the matter is we don't mind open sourcing this as it's quite
useful, but my external CGI bin folder doesn't seem to be running properly
at the mo', so if there are any offers from kind souls willing to host (and
ultimately allow downloads) from their site we'd be most grateful.

Cheers

Mike M
