Subject: Re: FLASH: salary in SF

This is a very interesting topic and I am sure a lot of us are curious (if
for no other reason) how this would relate to each of us. So let's
arbitrarily pick a salary and three cities and do some comparisons. Let's
put some sort of benchmark to the conversation ...

1. If a person makes $50k in LA and goes to SF then::
a. what would the realistic income expectations be of that person in SF
(eg how much would they be offered)?
b. how much would result in a comprable life style in SF?

2. If a person makes $50k in Seattle and goes to SF then::
a. what would the realistic income expectations be of that person in SF
(eg how much would they be offered)?
b. how much would result in a comprable life style in SF?

3. If a person makes $50k in Atlanta and goes to SF then::
a. what would the realistic income expectations be of that person in SF
(eg how much would they be offered)?
b. how much would result in a comprable life style in SF?

If we can answer these questions, then we could effectively assess the
differences between income, cost of living, and quality of living
opportunities for each of us in SF, as opposed to these other cities.

:)
