Two ways to fix your problem:


1. Change

Set Variable: "/nexus" & x & ":degrees" = 45 * (x - 1)

to

Set Variable: "nexus" & x & ":degrees" = 45 * (x - 1)


2. Name the instance of "main nexus w-trig" on the timeline "nexus_main" 

and change

Set Variable: "/nexus" & x & ":degrees" = 45 * (x - 1)

to

Set Variable: "/nexus_main/nexus" & x & ":degrees" = 45 * (x - 1)
