sometimes its easy to put your whole timeline into a movie clip, make a new
file, set the dimensions you want for the stage, then dump your whole site
onto the new file as a movie clip and size it the way you want
usually an easy solution, doesnt always work though, but worth a shot

Are you attempting to reduce file size?
If not, why not simply re-size the .swf in the browser? Unless it's
disproportionate, who's going to know?
