yes, it won't be recognized as being common to the several movies, so it
will be loaded each time the same as if it were totally new content.

convert the movie clip to its own movie. Use LoadMovie to load it into a
target movie clip in each of the other movies. The target clip is just a
placeholder, so won't weigh much. The movie clip (now a movie) will still
need to be loaded, but after the first time, it will be in cache.
or if your movies always play in the same sequence, convert them all to one
long movie. You'll get more efficient loading that way.
