I have sort of got this effect before (although everyone on here will probly

gang up on me for how shoddy it looks!).

Here's how I did it.


Say you have scene 1, and scene2.

Scene1 has the menu, which you want to fade out when you go to scene2.


Now, you goto the last frame in Scene1 (in case you have any animation on

the beginning of the frame) and drag the selector box thingy over everything

on the screen.


With all of that selected, "convert to symbol", and  save it as a graphic.

then do ctrl-c to copy it to the clipboard.

then go ctrl-z to undo the linking together of all the frames.


Now go to beginning of scene 2 and ctrl-shift-v to paste in the same place

as on scene 1.

Now, you can do just a standard fade-out on that one graphic in scene2, by

using the brightness 100% colour effect. Then after that, put the second

scene fading in, which you know how to do.


That's how I got the kind of effect. Problem is, paste in place doesn't

always seem to get it dead in place for some reason. Probly some technical

reason for it, but I'm really not technical as you can see.

There's probly a much faster way of getting this effect - anyone else on the

list know??
