Subject: | FLASH: maths and object movement. Equations needed. |

I am trying to develop a section of an interface. And I am a bit stuck.
Bascically this interface element is a draggable object confined to the x
axis (basically a horizontal slider).
What I am after is the user to be able to click and hold on this thing and
drag it around.
However, when the user lets go of the slider, the speed on which the slider
has been moved around, actually imparts speed on slider, and then it slowly
decelerates.
A similar thing can be found with a gravity function in a sample FLA found
at www.flashkit.com/
Under movies/Interactive Actionscript/Gravity. BUt i need to confine it to
the x axis only.
What I am after is somr sort of equations/explantion of the
maths/trig/whatever i am after. Without that, I cant really dissect the FLA.
Anyone point me int he right direction? Perhaps a site dealing with similar
functions?
Cheers
Tim
