I'd like to add to this question since it's come up. Let's say you want to
create a nice looking animated cartoon (Nothing wrong with Joe's Cartoons,
but I'm talking about something more along the lines of Disney). Okay, let's
say you want to use 3-D models and you'll need people, too. What's the best
software (both for functionality and those on a budget) to do this?
Say something to create the buildings, etc. Something to create the people
(Poser?). Something to render it into flat art. And there you go.
I'd be especially interested in hearing options for Macintosh, since that is
my platform of choice (and also slightly handicapped in the software dept).
Thanks.
