Subject: FLASH: collision detection

i'm writing a platform shooter game in flash, and the engine is nearly
completed. now that i look back i'm wondering if it would be faster to do
all the collision of everything that needs to collide on the screen in one
loop while statement, or even an array. right now i have the collision
being checked from within each movie clip of the enemies as they appear, and
i'm trying speed up the processes the best i can.

i hope this is clear enough

has anyone worked on a complex platform shooter? is anyone from pepworks on
this list?
