FLASH: how to clear a loaded external .swf from screen

Hello,

I am loading an external swf into a movieclip.  When I unload it the external movie remains onscreen.  Is there an action to clear the

screenbuffer or do I have to load a second movie w/o content (yuk) to clear the content of the previously loaded swf?
