i seem to remember first tackling the slider menu a while back, when branden
hall posted a slider .fla to this list, and it cleared up several
misconceptions i had. i don't have it, and probably wouldn't post it anyway,
because i think he was getting screwed lately and didn't want to post his
source files. anyway, it was called NewSlider.fla or something like that.
maybe you could mail him and ask him for it.
i remember most of the source files out there were cluttered with a ton of
different techniques not relevant to the basic slider issue, like dynamic
menus, making it harder to see what was needed. if i get time i'll put
together a tutorial.

I've had minor successes with my overnight attempts at this sliding menu
deal-- but only minor successes!
http://www.twitchy.com/organictest.swf I need to figure out how to make the
objects move inversely from the mouse's direction, which I would imagine is
the result of a well-placed negative or something equally easy, I'm just not
sure where to put it! :) The other problem, is obviously, when the
objects hit the edges and repeat, they slide to where they were originally
rather than staying at the opposite edge.... please, please if you have a
hint, throw it my way! :) Thank you already for all your help, I'm just a
lit
