Thanks Cheri--I knew after I sent it that that repetition of the mc name

didn't look right.  Glad you stepped in to keep the blind from leading

the blind further astray!  It seems that a tell target is only needed

when you want to tell a movie clip where to start playing (or move to),

not when you want to change one of its properties--is that correct?


And is this what Ilia would need to make a random movie clip invisible?


     Set Variable: "myboxes" = random(3)+1

     Set Property ("/mcblackmask"&myboxes, Visibility) = 0


And on an unrelated note, is anyone else getting those undeliverable

messages every time they post to the list today (even though the message

goes through)?
