I don't know, I've only heard one person claim to have turned off

javascript, and he was an extremely knowledgeable and opinionated person on

the BBEdit list, one of those "all pages should be viewable with LYNX"

people. I'm sure he's not subscribed to *this* list!


As we all know, it's almost a rule that users do not alter the default

settings. So I would really have to have this statistic verified before I

could believe it. I mean, do you think 17% of all surfers know *how* to turn

off javascript?
