Subject: | FLASH: brain hurts.... sliding menu |

I've been tackling this slider menu from a bunch of angles-- I figured out
how to give the menu velocity according to another tutorial on virtual-fx,
but then realized a much better example of what I wanted to do for a slider
menu existed at http://www.virtual-fx.net/slidermenu.html -- but the code
makes my brain hurt! First off, I don't want to dynamically generate my
buttons, I already have them built, and it seems a lot of the code is geared
to dynamically generated menu options... there's _got_ to be an easier way
to this advanced slider thing than this tutorial, as far as my small
left-brained self goes. :) I understand the basic principles of changing
an objects location according to mouse position, and somewhat grasp the idea
of how to give the menus motion, but as far as building from ground up I
seem to be faltering...
anyone know of any simple-minded tutorial for this type of thing? :)
