To test out PHP, if you have a computer you can do it locally. Go to
www.apache.org and d/l the appropriate build of Apache server (am assuming
you are not on a Mac platform). Then go to www.php.net and grab the latest
version of PHP. Instructions for installation of PHP can be found at
http://www.umesd.k12.or.us/php/win32install.html. Alternatively to Apache,
you could use Personal Web Server as an alternative.

Jason

Subject: FLASH: PHP and ActionScript
Hey All,
Looking for two things to make life easier.
1. A free place (not lunch) to test PHP and ActionScript.. a server out
there somewhere?
2. An alternative to Macromedia's fortuitous ActionScript authoring
environment, heard that livingscreen had something but couldn't find it
on their website.
Feel free to mail me at flashvisualfood [dot] ch if the replies are lengthy
Ta
