Subject: | FLASH: vecta3d (standalone) VS swift 3d - have used both |

Bought both... and haven't gotten into it much... but here are my
observations (and keep in mind that these are from a TOTAL 3d am)
Vecta is very simple to use, but is limited to using models only..... no
real drawing power at all. plus the images need to be cleaned up a ton.
Found that it works best to render in a wire frame, then clean it up in
flash (excess lines), and color it in flash as well. Over all good for
someone who wants a conversion tool and nothing more... not bad considering
the price.
Swift 3D is a little harder to use, but not bad after reading the
tutorial.... way more options, plus you can actually do some basic drawing
in it.... find the exported files to be smaller. I also find that the
rendering happens a little faster in Swift as well.
To sum it up..... total novice and only need to convert to SWF... use
vecta... based on ease of use (not many options), and price.....
Want some advanced functions, and more flexibility.... buy the swift....
I bought both.... suck at 3D, and recommend Swift over the other.....
If you can cough up the extra change... do so... plus $139 USd for the tool
isn't half bad anyways! ;-)
