I am interested in this issue also. The desktop browser system we are
developing uses Flash in its default on-board portal. If this were a
problem we could probably have a 'Disable all OCXs except Flash'
feature. We are already filtering out common Web Bugs and third party
advertising for privacy and boosting browser performance. I do not
see why we would have any problem detecting and allowing only Flash
files. I'd be curious if this would be an acceptable solution? If any
one here has contacts at these places, you may email these privately
to me and I will follow up on this issue. Obviously if we can meet
such unique needs, our product would be boosted by such features.
