I agree, and have also wondered about this for a while. I recall the demise
of WebMedia causing similar issues; in that it suddenly became a tad more
difficult to get funding for agency start-ups.
The problem is, to my mind, that if boo.com were to launch online alchemy a
week on Thursday, we'd all say, "Oh, is that all it does?". I cannot think
of
anything they could do now to match up to the hype, and can't help feeling
that they shouldn't have stated their launch funtionality quite so blatantly
so long ago.
A shame, but I'm sure that they, and a lot of others, will learn from the
experience. Most software houses certainly took that lesson on board years
ago, and even then a lot of their still products slip.

However, boo has had sufficient cash poured into it that it probably won't
be allowed to fail at this stage.
I'd love to hear from boo/organic/whomever too, but I suspect they're all
rather busy just now...wonder what their burn rate is ;-)
