Subject: UKNM: The next stage in the game - ?????

I'd say the movement away from computer (PC and Mac, for example) based net access is
probably the most important trend to be looking at over the next few hours, with iTV (sorry,
Convergent Media), usable web ready mobile phones, such as the new Nokia 7710... and,
of course, the new wave of gaming consoles...

The size of the bandwidth available on the Dreamcast is a valid (although assuredly
unintentional) reminder that these technologies all have varying levels of technology and
bandwidth available to them, and that the Netscape vs IE war merely is a taster of the bitter
wars that will rage across all these new platforms. How many people now are clued up on
WAP, Open, Liberate et al? How many people will be playing catchup in a
year/month/week's time?
