Before I say this, just let me say that... the only positive things about
the delivery end of homeshopping so far have been about Tesco <grin>
With regards to the negatives, please keep in mind that (at least in Tesco's
case), when you order over the Internet you are actually ordering directly
from your *local* store - not some magical central warehouse. This is
undoubtedly why there have been such diverse reports - as a lot comes down
to how long the store has been 'online' and the inevitable human factors
involved.
I would even dare say (IMHO etc.) the reason other stores are so
consistently inconsistent is the increased strain on staff/store resources
as they rush to catch up with Tesco Direct.
