I don't know if all comparison shopping places work like that. I know that
is the case with places like respond.com. But in the case of respond.com
you have suppliers actually competing for the business of the consumer who
has previously stated what he is interested in buying and what he is willing
to pay. So in that case it could very well be the best deal possible. The
only problem is that the various suppliers don't see the competitions'
offers. Only the interested consumer sees all of the offers. The only
"reverse auction" site that I know of that actually sets the suppliers
against each other in an open forum is wanted.com.
Anybody have any thoughts on reverse auction sites?
