Dear Jack,
Love the new twitter - I really do. Since I joined the website just over a year ago you've been my favourite way of actually networking online. You beat Facebook and LinkedIn by a country mile.
Almost over night you became my new discovery engine - I still argue Twitter has and will continue to have a massive impact on social bookmarking tools. And with the new app I have fallen in love with you all over again.
When you love something enough you see all of its faults. You just look past them and concentrate on what attracted you to the service. But seeing as you tweeted asking for suggestions on how you can improve I thought I would write you a letter.
Use your leap day to review your business model!
The Creative Industries Knowledge Transfer Network (CI KTN) today challenged UK businesses to use February 29th to review their business model. The ‘Leap Day Business Challenge’ will be launched at the CI KTN’s event - The DNA of a Company: How social media is impacting business models.
“We’re extremely excited about the potential this challenge could unleash,” says Mel Norman, Theme Champion for Business Models and Growth at the CI KTN. “It’s aimed at company owners and CEOs who are running successful businesses, but who would like to stay ahead of the curve to secure their future. It’s sometimes hard when you’re focused on the day-to-day running of your company, to make time to review the way you’re doing business but in light of current technology disruptions, it could really add value.”
This year's Social Media Week has its very own mobile app to help keep you on top of all the events and latest news, powered by the lovely team at Nokia.
Two individuals swap cities – equipped with nothing but a smartphone, they attempt to live off the goodwill of the locals through social media for a week!
In conjunction with Social Media Week, Can Man Live on Social Media Alone is a daring cross-city social experiment to evaluate whether one intrepid traveller can depend on nothing but the good will of locals and the power of social media to survive in a foreign city for one week.
From 9th – 15th February, our #CanManLondon and our #CanManSG will trade cities, power up their social media channels and prepare for the best (or worst).
Here are the pick of some of our featured events which have just gone live. They are already making waves at this year's Social Media Week London, which is less than two weeks away! They are all hosted at this year's hub, the Design Council. Sign up now to secure your place.
